Tabu took to her social media handles to celebrate the 30 years of her debut Telugu film Coolie No 1. Take a look!
It has been three decades since actress Tabu made her acting debut with the 1991 Telugu film Coolie No 1, alongside actor Venkatesh Daggubati. To celebrate the milestone, the actress took to Instagram and shared a clip of the film’s popular song titled “Kotha Kothaga.” Tabu also penned a lengthy note, thanking director Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao and producer D Suresh Babu for giving her the opportunity to star in the movie. She also called it a "moment of much pride."
The talented actress wrote, “Slightly unbelievable and thoroughly overwhelming to know that it’s 30 years since my first film Coolie No 1 released.It’s a moment of much pride, along with many other emotions..most importantly of gratitude.To thank Rama Naidu sir,Suresh Naidu,Venkatesh Naidu for giving me my first release ,for laying a solid foundation for the years to come..and for whom, I will always be Paapa.(baby in Telugu :)).”
She added, “My guru K.Raghavendra Rao for presenting me like a dream on screen, who taught me all that I needed to learn about humility,beauty, the value of being on time and of never forgetting to enjoy life.Thank you Gurugaru.I owe you much. Thank you to everyone who walked with me during this journey.”

As soon as the actress shared the video, her friends and colleagues from the industry congratulated Tabu on her 30 years of journey in cinema. Ayushmann Khurrana wrote “wow”, while Katrina Kaif commented “The best.” Kartik Aaryan dropped heart emojis. And Sushanth Akkineni wished her a “Happy 30.”
On the work front, Tabu will next be seen in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film also stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The actress will also make a cameo appearance in Malayalam Bheeshma Parvam.
