Kangana Ranaut has been busy gearing up and prepping for her role in the upcoming former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s biopic. Since months now, the actress has been taking dance lessons and undergoing prosthetic testing in order to fit in the role of the character she is set to play. While Kangana is busy working hard for her role in the film Thalaivi, the first look from the film is finally out and the actress has once again left us impressed. As Kangana who has been a shapeshifter in her films earlier, the actress has perfectly tuned in to the character of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and looks unrecognizable.
Kangana Ranaut’s team took to Twitter to share the first look of the actress from her upcoming film Thalaivi. While Kangana looks completely unrecognizable in the first look poster of the film, the actress has managed well to fit into the role of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. With her first look from the film, the elegance and poise Kangana has brought in to the look of the character she is playing is equally impressive. The actress has nailed it to excellence and has proved true to the role she is set to play in the film. Speaking of the poster from Thalaivi, Kangana looks almost similar to the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and is winning hearts. The poster features Kangana Ranaut dressed in well-done prosthetics make-up and looks beautiful in the green saree striking the iconic pose of the former CM J Jayalalithaa. Well, Kangana is clearly giving us shivers with her first look from Thalaivi and we cannot wait for the film anymore.
Producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is also producing the Kabir Khan's film ’83 shared his excitement on the project. The producer said, “I am excited to show this story of an actor turn politician, which is based on one of India’s most loved and followed public figures. Thalaivi is a very dear project to all of us as it is a story that needs to be told. And the way, Kangana has slipped into the character, is simply amazing. Can't wait to present this film to the audience."
After producing Judgementall Hai Kya, producer Shaailesh R Singh is proud to associate with Thalaivi and Kangana Ranaut and shared his happiness on the same. Helmed by Vijay, Thalaivi is based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who passed away on December 5, 2016, and is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Iduri and Shaailesh R Singh. The film stars Kangana in the lead and will also see the life of the late actor-politician MG Ramachandran or MGR’s character in Thalaivi, who is said to have had played a very important role in Jayalalithaa’s political innings. Thalaivi is scheduled to release in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages on June 26, 2020.
