On July 19, Ankur Rathee, who rose to fame with digital show Four More Shots Please! 1 and 2, Made In Heaven and Taapsee Pannu led Thappad, put a ring on girlfriend Anuja Joshi’s finger. Going down on one knee, Ankur proposed to his longtime girlfriend Anuja and gave a sneak-peek into his dreamy proposal. Well, going by the picture Ankur and Anuja’s proposal looked no less than a fairy tale. Wishes and congratulatory messages have been pouring in ever since he announced the new step on social media.
Now sharing a picture from a post-engagement ritual, Ankur Rathee and Anuja Joshi are seen holding hands, while flaunting her fancy diamond ring. Writing a love note alongside the picture, Ankur wrote, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder, they say. Well, @anujabomajoshi and I have put that to the test many times in our relationship, including the 3 years we lived in different countries. While most of us tend to focus on the challenges of long-distance relationships, I also think it has its own perks. When you can't rely on your partner’s physical presence or touch to stay connected, you are forced to communicate better, listen intently, argue respectfully, value her time, or attune to his emotional needs. You learn to love through creative gestures and express passion through words. You cherish every bit of kindness.
“If you can achieve emotional intimacy in the face of physical distance as a couple, you’re home!
