After reports of Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’Cruz starrer The Big Bull's shoot to resume in July, latest news states that the film is getting set for a digital release
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram account to share the first look of his upcoming film The Big Bull earlier this year. While Abhishek shared a glimpse of how his film will look like, excited and thrilled fans poured hearts and wished the actor luck. As many film shoots have been stalled midway due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was recently reported that Abhishek Bachchan’s film The Big Bull will resume shooting in July. Now, according to the latest reports, the film The Big Bull produced by actor Ajay Devgn will have a digital release.
According to reports in Pinkvilla.com, the makers of Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’Cruz starrer The Big Bull are in talks with a few OTT platforms to release the film digitally. A source in the report revealed that actor Ajay Devgn who is producing the movie- a biopic on the life of stock market king Harshad Mehta is in regular touch with the entire production crew. The source continued, “They are also in talks with a few OTT platforms who have shown interest in buying the film. In all probabilities, Ajay and team will avoid a theatrical release and put The Big Bull online. They are waiting to close the deal, and will sell it to the digital agency that gives them a bigger price."
Moving on, the source in the report continued to share that actors Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’cruz are also fine with the idea of the film having a digital release. As the theatres will resume only once the situation in the country improves, the source said, “So, Ajay, Abhishek, Ileana, the director Kookie Gulati they all came to a collective decision along with the team to release their film on the web instead. The production house will also recover its investment from the same and the satellite prices too are being negotiated currently."
Meanwhile, as Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull is skipping the theatrical release as per reports, several other Bollywood films like Gulabo Sitabo, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Shakuntala Devi: The Human-Computer are all set to make their digital releases soon. Talking about The Big Bull, directed by Kookie Gulati, the movie was scheduled for a theatrical release on October 23, 2020.
