Dia Mirza will soon be seen as Maanayata Dutt in Sanjay
Dutt’s biopic which has Ranbir Kapoor playing the controversial star.
Goes without saying, the actress picked up on a number of
traits of Maanayata’s personality such as body language, dress sense, the
way she speaks et all to be able to play the role as close to reality as
possible.

However, during an EXCLUSIVE chat with SpotboyE.com on Saturday evening
at her Khar office, Dia revealed an interesting aspect about Maanayata, which
she has to constantly hold during her entire portrayal on celluloid.
“Maanayata never smiles with her teeth seen, whereas my
trademark smile is a toothy one (smiles). You will see me smiling with my lips
closed in the film.”

Talking about how she went about preparing for the role,
the actress informed, “I have known Maanayata for a long time and have done
many films with Sanju sir. I also saw pictures and videos of the time the film
is set in. However, I am essentially following Rajkumar Hirani’s directive.
It’s his vision.”

So, did Maanayata ever visit the sets of the film?
“(Smiles) Aap log unko badnaam kar rahe hain. She has never interfered in any
way.”

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Ranbir was spotted
shooting for the biopic at Carter Road.
The resemblance between Sanjay and him was extremely uncanny.
