The Dirty Picture Actress Arya Banerjee Found Dead At Her Residence In Kolkata
Bengali actress Arya Banerjee as per reports in PTI, was found dead at her residence in south Kolkata on Friday.  The 33-year-old actress resided alone and mostly kept things to herself. Her maid informed when Arya did not open the door and did not respond to phone calls in the morning, she took further steps. As per reports when she did not respond to her domestic help, she informed the neighbours who later called the police. The Bengali actress was the daughter of late sitarist Nikhil Banerjee. 

Police confirmed her body has been sent for post mortem and also the forensic team has collected samples from the actress’ residence. Cops discovered her body on the third floor of her apartment. She has acted in Bollywood movies, the list included The Dirty Picture, LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka, and few other films, she had also done some modelling assignments in Mumbai. She had a Masters' degree in classical music and had done a three-months acting course in Anupam Kher’s acting school.

She had grabbed attention with the portrayal of Shakeela in the movie The Dirty Picture. Actress Bidita Bag paying her condolences, mentioned, “A very talented girl…who used to sing and dance like a rock-star. She amazed us with her acting and dancing stint in films like LSD, Dirty picture.”


Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal paid his condolences; he shared on Facebook of the late actress being a fan of the films helmed by Woody Allen, Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, Mrinal Sen, Ritwik Ghatak and more.
