The Good, Bad And Ugly Of Last Week: Rakhi Sawant, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, Shweta Tiwari?
Priyanka Chopra (GOOD):

Peecee oozes confidence and yet again, she hits a sixer with her comeback when a Pakistani lady yelled at the actress for her Jai Hind tweet. Her response was totally savage and that’s why she rightly deserves the tag of the global icon.

Mika Singh (BAD):

The tense situations between India and Pakistan continue and amidst it, singer Mika Singh decided to perform in Karachi at the wedding festivities of daughter of former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf's close relative. It created an outrage amongst Indians and the singer was severely called out by netizens for this.

Rakhi Sawant (UGLY):

While last week, Rakhi featured in the GOOD category for her wedding with an NRI named Ritesh, now sadly, she’s made it here for an ugly reason. Her past has returned to haunt her. Deepak Kalal who was supposed to get married to Rakhi last year, has resurfaced online and threatened the actress to pay him Rs 4 crore and accused her of fraudery. That’s quite an unexpected turn of events!

Vicky Kaushal-Ayushmann Khurrana (GOOD):

The whole of Bollywood is ecstatic as two of our finest performers in the current crop of actors, Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana bagged their first-ever National Awards for spectacular performances in the movie, URI: The Surgical Strike and Andhadhun respectively. Both actors share the trophy in the Best Actor category. Hearty congratulations from us as well!

Parineeti Chopra-Sidharth Malhotra (BAD):

Pari and Sid would be disheartened to discover that their recent release Jabariya Jodi hasn’t lived up to audience expectations in the first weekend. Neither the reviews nor the numbers have been favourable. SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 2.5 stars.

Shweta Tiwari (BAD):

Last night, we reported about the shocking news of TV actress Shweta Tiwari lodging a complaint against her husband Abhinav alleging that he beats her up. This is her second marriage and the lady has already been through enough domestic violence at the hands of her first husband, Raja Chaudhary. To discover that this happening again with her is indeed disturbing!

Shah Rukh Khan (GOOD):

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne saw Hindi films like Gully Boy and Andhadhun win big. However, the biggest win came for Shah Rukh Khan who was awarded for Excellence in Cinema.

J Om Prakash (BAD):

On August 7, Hrithik Roshan’s grandfather, filmmaker J Om Prakash breathed his last. He was 93. He was best known for directing films like Aap Ki Kasam,  Apnapan, Aadmi Khilona, Apna Bana Lo. He is known for producing box office hit films like Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Aas Ka Panchhi, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Aankhon Aankhon Mein, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke and Aakhir Kyun.

Anurag Kashyap (UGLY):

It is an ugly situation to see faceless people sitting behind their computers threatening through social media. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had no choice but to quit Twitter alleging that his family is being subjected to incessant threats online. Sad!

Sushma Swaraj (BAD):

We really don’t like to end this column on a sad note, but this has to be the most disheartening news that has hit us in quite some time. Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away at the age of 67 due to a cardiac arrest on August 6, 2019.
