Celebrated filmmaker Anurag Kashyap doesn’t mince words, he is known to speak his when it comes to personal or professional issues. Recently, he opened up about finding himself in trouble when he was arrested for being drunk in Saudi Arabia. In a recent episode of Unfiltered with Samdish, Arurag got candid as he revealed, “There were no flights from Denmark due to volcanic ash. I was very exhausted and I had wine and I went, took the ticket and I had to wait five hours. I went to the lounge and started drinking because I wanted to pass out. I sat in the flight and I passed out. I landed in Saudi, they arrested me because I walked on the land of Saudi totally drunk. They started questioning me. Luckily I had my phone and I sent a text to Ronnie Ronnie Screwala."
He also mentioned holding onto a bag of pork sausages with him, making him all the more terrified, reported ETimes.
After convincing the security, Anurag was finally allowed to board his next connecting flight after 3 hours, and it finally resulted in a huge sigh of relief for the Gangs of Wassepur director.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anurag Kashyap’s latest outing, ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ released last week, and it was an “ode modern love”. The film stars Alaya F and debutant Karan Mehta and has been garnering rave reviews from the audience.
