Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last on February 6 at the age of 92 in Mumbai. As news of Lata Mangeshkar's demise broke, several celebrities were seen rushing to her residence to pay their last respects to the legend. Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and others went to pay their last respect to the nightingale of India at Shivaji Park, Dadar in Mumbai.
Without a doubt, she was one of the most endearing personalities in tinsel town, and she never held herself on sharing her opinion no matter.
Well, there was a time when Lata Mangeshkar’s family was extremely furious with Kiara Advani and Karan Johar for using the song sung by her in an orgasm scene of the actress in Lust Stories starring Vicky Kaushal.
In a rather shocking turn of events, the Mangeshkar family was reportedly angry with Karan for using her iconic song to create humour on the orgasm scene. If we are to go by the reports, the family also released a statement to express their displeasure on the same, “We wonder why he needed to use a Bhajan-like song sung in the most revered voice of Asia to show his heroine in an orgasmic state. He could have used any other song.”
They went on to say that they haven’t informed the legendary playback singer about this. “At her age, we don’t want to expose her to this kind of ugly desecration of her song. Why did Karan Johar use Lata Didi’s immortal song in such an embarrassing situation? I still remember how ecstatic Karan was when Didi had recorded the song for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He said it was a dream come true. Why turn the dream song into a nightmare now?”
Lust Stories was a game-changer for Kiara Advani that was released in June 2018 and since then there is no looking back for the actress.
