Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s recently witnessed a massive setback in their relationship, which changed their equation for good. The couple has come a long way and the couple has set many relationship goals in the initial days of their relationship.
Previously, the actress had opened up about how she was left unimpressed after Raj Kundra proposed to her in Paris with a five-carat diamond ring. She said that it took to her a while before she could say ‘yes’ and added that she only agreed to marry the filmmaker after he promised her a ‘bigger ring’.
Shilpa said, “It was a five-carat diamond ring and I might sound really materialistic but I was like, ‘It’s just five carats.’ I took a while to say yes because I was like, ‘This is not what I imagined.’ No, no, I am just joking. Because I took two seconds more, he was like, ‘The wedding ring will be bigger.’ So I said yes there and then.”
As per the reports, Raj eventually gave his love of life a 20-carat heart-shaped diamond ring worth Rs 3 crore. He also bought her a lehenga worth Rs 50 lakh.
In her previous interaction with Shibani Dandekar on ‘The Love Laugh Live Show’ in 2019, Shila recalled that while she was in Paris for a fashion event, Raj jetted to the city and proposed her. He even hired violinists and arranged a romantic dinner, but the actress said that she was left unimpressed with his five-carat diamond ring.
For those unaware, Shilpa and Raj got married in 2009 after dating for three months. The couple have been blessed with two children - Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra.
