Throwback To When Parineeti Chopra Was Severely Depressed And Faced Acute Financial Problems
Parineeti Chopra is widely admired for her bubbly nature and a very lively personality, and her choices of films serve as enough proof. However, things weren’t always the same for the actress. Well, there was a time when a then 25-year-old Parineeti Chopra was undergoing severe depression, and it took place during the year 2014-2015. In an old interview with Film Companion, Parineeti had opened up battling with depression, what led to it and she refers to it as the darkest phase in her life. Parineeti Chopra had stated that the end of the 2014 and the entire 2015 were the worst time in her life, especially after two of her films (Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil) tanked at the box-office. She stated this as her first setback. Further, Pari revealed that she was running out of money. “I had made a lot of money by then, but I had bought a house and I had made some big investments. Then I went through a big heartbreak in my life. Literally, all the departments in my life were down. Nothing positive to look forward to," said the actress.

Well, things got worse as, during that time, the actress isolated herself. She had stopped eating, sleeping well and meeting people around. Parineeti added that she had cut off from everyone, including her friends and family. She called herself as one ‘zombie’ and a ‘typical filmy depressed girl’. During her bad phase, it was her brother Sahaj and best friend and stylist Sanjana Batra, who stood like a rock alongside Parineeti."I would cry maybe 10 times a day. I was always upset and crying. I had this chest pain that would not go out of my body. I have never felt depression, actual clinical depression. It happened to me in that year," she added. (ALSO READ - Parineeti Chopra's Nick Jiju Grooves To Khadke Glassy; Actress Says, ‘Nickster Does It Better’)
