Throwback To When Rekha Royally IGNORED Mahabharat’s Duryodhana AKA Puneet Issar In Bigg Boss 8; Know Why

Amid lockdown, Doordarshan has brought back the mythological series Ramayan and Mahabharat, and they are a huge hit currently. Puneet Issar stars as Duryodhana in Mahabharata and is among one of the well-known personalities, having been a part of several TV shows and movies. Puneet Issar was also a part of Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss season 8 which aired from September 2014 to January 2015. It was on that season Bollywood actress Rekha had come to promote her film, Super Nani. However, people couldn’t help but notice that she gave a royal snub to Puneet Issar.
Back in the 80s, Puneet Issar had made the headlines for his fight sequence in the film Coolie, which had left Amitabh Bachchan severely injured, as Puneet had hit him in the stomach while shooting for it. That remains an unforgettable event. So when Rekha came on Bigg Boss 8 and ignored Puneet Issar, many reports had claimed that it might be because of the Coolie incident. While Rekha was inside the house, she greeted everyone warmly with hugs, except for Puneet, whom she greeted from afar.
Further, Salman asked every contestant of Bigg Boss 8 to dedicate something to Rekha, and when it was Puneet’s turn, he said, “Rekha ma’am ko dekh kar mujhe kuch thoughts yaad aa rahe hai.”
Rekha then interrupted and said, “Mujhe aapko dekh ke, sorry to interrupt you, mujhe aapko dekh ke bohot saare thoughts aate hain.” Puneet then recited a few lines, “Jiski saza sirf tum ho, mujhe aisa kuch gunah karna hai.” Rekha then quipped, “Abhi kiya nahi ki aur karna hai?” This led fans to believe that something was wrong between the two.
