THROWBACK! When Priyanka Chopra ALLEGEDLY Hurt Ranbir Kapoor’s EGO, After He Left Her To Drown Mid-Ocean During Movie Shoot
Global sensation Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been reaching new heights of success everyday. As she is currently gearing up for the release of her debut web series Citadel, an old interview of her mother and producer Madhu Chopra resurfaced on the internet. Being the strong-headed personality that she is, Priyanka had once hurt the ego of an A-lister actor, by outsmarting him. While, Chopra had refrained from taking a name, the internet speculated that it was Ranbir Kapoor.

It was in 2010, when Priyanka and Ranbir came together for Siddharth Anand’s much-acclaimed movie Anjaana Anjaani. From the chemistry between the actors to the songs and plot of the movie, there was a lot of chatter going around about them allegedly being in a relationship. Recalling the incident, Madhu revealed that Priyanka and her co-star were shooting a very important scene mid-ocean. ALSO READ: WHAT? Priyanka Chopra's Designer Humiliates Her? She had gone on to tell Rediff.com, that during the shoot of the scene, the director had instructed Priyanka to jump in the ocean and scream for help. Once she started acting like she was drowning, the a-lister was supposed to jump in the ocean to save her. However, the actor tried to play a prank on the 40-year-old by asking the boat operator to move the boat away, so that she could panic and scream a little more, without knowing that she was a skilled swimmer. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, Madhu said, “She had not told anybody she could swim. The hero tried to play a prank on her. She jumped and they moved the boat away, thinking she'd believe she was drowning and make a noise. She did no such thing... she started swimming. She's a very strong swimmer. She was enjoying herself in the water. The hero got so pissed.”

On the work front, Priyanka is all set to make her web-series debut with the Russo Brothers' Citadel. Co-starring Richard Madden, the first season of the show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28, 2023. She will start shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, after wrapping up her Hollywood projects, Love Again and Ending Things.
