Throwback: When Shraddha Kapoor Hinted Nepotism Helped Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha And Parineeti Chopra In Getting A Big And Impressive Debut In Bollywood
The debate on Nepotism in Bollywood has always been a hot topic of discussion and it left many celebrities brimming with striking opinions. While some actors accepted that nepotism does exist in the industry just like in every other profession, a few others opined that only hard work is the ladder to success. For the unversed, the debate on nepotism started when Kangana Ranaut called Karan Johar the ‘flag-bearer of Nepotism’ during her appearance on his chat show 'Koffee with Karan'. And, since then many B-Town celebs have shared their views on it.

Speaking of this, Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor had once hinted that nepotism helped actresses like Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Parineeti Chopra to get a break and their dream debut in Bollywood. During her appearance on the popular celebrity chat show, the Half Girlfriend actress during a quick rapid-fire round was asked about the things these actresses have had and she didn’t.

For Parineeti Chopra, Shraddha said she had Aditya Chopra, for Alia Bhatt, she took Karan Johar’s name and for Sonakshi Sinha, she said Salman Khan.  ALSO READ: Bobby Deol On Nepotism, Battling Depression And Making Wrong Career Choices: ‘For Three Years, I Was Totally Lost In My Own Sorrows’-EXCLUSIVE

Parineeti had made her acting debut with Aditya’s bankrolled film ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ opposite Ranveer Singh. Alia ventured into Bollywood with Karan Johar's teen drama Student of the Year in 2012. The actress shot to fame with this break big and there was no looking back for Alia after this.
On the other hand, Sonakshi was launched by none other than Salman Khan. She made her acting debut portraying Rajjo in the action-drama Dabangg opposite Salman.

Unlike these actresses, Shraddha Kapoor did not have a big and dreamy debut. She began her acting career with a brief role in the 2010 heist film Teen Patti, followed by her first leading role in the teen drama Luv Ka The End. Kapoor established herself and rose to prominence with her performance in films like Ek Villain, the dance drama ABCD 2, Baaghi, and Aashiqui 2.
