In 2014, Tiger Shroff began his journey in Bollywood with Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti, which paired him opposite another debutante Kriti Sanon. After that, the actor went on to work with Sajid again for Baaghi, which went on to become a huge successful franchise for the duo that has released three instalments till now.
The last two of those three instalments have been directed by choreographer turned filmmaker Ahmed Khan, and now the trio of Ahmed, Tiger and Sajid are building up another franchise with the sequel to the 2014 debut film of the actor. Heropanti 2 features Tiger opposite his Student Of The Year 2 co-star Tara Sutaria and the film’s music is being composed by the maestro himself, AR Rahman.
The duo had been shooting for the film in Mumbai for over a month and late last night, the duo flew off to London for the next abroad schedule. The schedule is expected to start from September 10 and till then, the team will be in quarantine. This leg of shoot will last for over a month, and the film’s antagonist Nawazuddin Siddiqui is also expected to be a part of this schedule.
Earlier, Heropanti 2 was to be released on December 3 this year, but with the whole Bollywood calendar shuffled up due to the Covid pandemic, Sajid has allotted this date now to another one of his productions, Tadap, which will also feature Tara opposite Ahan Shetty, and will mark the latter’s acting debut. Heropanti 2 is now eyeing for a theatrical release in 2022.
