Tiger Shroff who is spending his quarantine break with parents at home is also gearing up for his upcoming projects. The actor has films in the pipeline and seems like he does not want to take a break after the lockdown, at all. Over the lockdown days, Tiger has managed to entertain fans with his posts on social media and stays connected with them as well. Now, as per the latest reports, Tiger is all set to play the role of a boxer in Vikas Bahl’s next film titled Ganpat. The reports state that the Vikas Bahl directorial is a two-part sports drama and is based on the story of an underdog set in Mumbai.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Tiger Shroff has given a green signal to the Vikas Bahl directorial titled Ganpat. In the report, a source close to the development said, “Ganpat is essentially a sports drama set in Mumbai with Tiger playing a boxer for the first time. Vikas has been working on the script for a while now and Tiger, who loves MMA, wrestling and boxing was looking to do a film in this space. When Vikas narrated the script to him, it was an instant ‘yes’ from Tiger.”
The report stated that Tiger Shroff has also started prepping for his role in the film during the lockdown and is working on his physique and look. As per the report, Tiger is training to look the part of a sportsman, which will be different than his appearance in his previous action-based films. The source added, “Ganpat will be a two-film franchise, tracing the journey of Ganpat from a Mumbai boy to a world class boxer. Though it’s an action-packed film, at its core it’s an underdog story like Super 30, with an emotional father-son subplot. The search is on for a senior actor to play Tiger’s on-screen father.”
With the film titled Ganpat, based on the life of a boy set in Mumbai, as per the report, Tiger Shroff will be playing the character of an ardent Ganpati bhakt. As the film is action-packed, tracing the journey of Ganpat from a Mumbai boy to a world-class boxer, the WAR actor will also work on his boxing skills and train for the sport. Meanwhile, work-wise, Tiger Shroff also has the sequel of his debut film Heropanti in the pipeline and the remake of the Hollywood film Rambo. On the other hand, as per the report, Vikas Bahl is also working on a film titled Deadly, centered around a funeral.
