Toofaan is inching closer to its release date and the makers are now leaving no stones unturned to promote the film. Even though there are heavy restrictions in the state owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are being cautious and promoting the film on limited platforms. Amidst this, actor Mrunal Thakur recently dropped a sweet picture on her Instagram stories as she celebrated Toofaan director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s birthday with co-star Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
The picture seemed to be taken from an interview set. Mrunal Thakur, Farhan Akhtar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Ritesh Sidhwani posed for a happy picture as they celebrated the director’s birthday while promoting their next, Toofaan. In the picture, Mrunal is seen wearing emerald green overalls with a huge chunky belt and her gorgeous tresses neatly pulled back. Whereas Akhtar seems to be rocking the casual cool look by opting to wear a grey t-shirt and faded grey cargo pants.
Talking about the film and song, Todun Taak, Farhan Akhtar shared, “The film is a story of hope, faith and inner strength, fuelled by passion and perseverance, which are qualities a boxer imbibes through the journey of the sport. It took me eight to nine months of rigorous training to get into the skin of the character. It made me realise how physically, mentally and emotionally demanding the sport is. So, this video (Todun Taak) is an ode to all the boxers who have fought against all odds, and emerged as champions”.
