Toofan: Farhan Akhtar Is Excited As The Sports Drama Goes On Floors; Shares Picture from the Muhurat Shoot

Farhan Akhtar hasn’t acted in a lot of films, but with whatever limited he has done, he has sure proved his mettle as an actor. For his next, the ZNMD actor is reuniting with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a sports film titled Toofan, which is going to be based on the life of a boxer. For the same, the actor has undergone a streak of intense training sessions and he made it a point to keep his fans updated about the same.
Now, Toofan has finally gone on floors and Farhan Akhtar seems to be extremely excited. Taking to his Instagram, the producer-turned-actor gave us sneak peek into the film’s first-day shoot. In the picture, we could see the clapboard that had ‘Shot 1’ written on it. Farhan, in his caption, expressed his elation by writing, “Day 1. #ToofanInTheMaking #Nerves #Excitement #Cinemagic #lovemyjob.” Take a look at the picture below.
Speaking about the film and his reunion with Farhan, Mehra earlier told PTI, “I am most excited for the film. I can't talk much because we haven't even started shooting. We are planning to go on the floors by the end of the year. Both Farhan and I are getting to work with each other after six years. We have always been bouncing ideas off each other."
Toofan also stars veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who will be seen as Farhan Akhtar’s coach. The film is being jointly produced by Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures and its release date is yet to be announced.
