Good Newwz starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, Kiara Advani received a great response by the audience and also performed well at the box office. The film, on its first day, collected a whopping Rs. 17.56 crore. Now, on its day 4, the film has collected Rs. 78.40 crore net, and Karan Johar took to his social media to share the figures. This comes one day after Akshay Kumar’s fans had accused Karan Johar of underreporting Good Newwz Box Office collection by stating 1 crore less, and he was trolled for the same.

Yesterday, Karan Johar took to his social media to share the box office collection of Day 4 and called it the best goof-up of the year. Sharing a poster that reads, “The most loved goof-up”, it shows the BO collection of Day 4 as 78.40 cr. Karan Johar, in his Tweet, wrote, “No goof-up here, it's your love that's making this the best goof-up of the year!! #GoodNewwz in cinemas now!” Yesterday, Karan Johar shared the 3-day total box-office collection as 64.99 crore. Akshay Kumar's fans were quick to point out that the producer has deducted Good Newwz's BO collection by Rs 1 crore. It happened after popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh mentioned that the film’s overall collection on Day 3 was Rs 65.99 crore. Meanwhile, Twitterati went gaga over the film after its release and it left them in splits. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Good Newwz also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. It has been helmed by Raj Mehta.
