The arrest of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in a drug bust case has got the nation talking. There is still no relief for the star kid, as a special NDPS court in Mumbai has again rejected his bail plea. While the legal proceedings continue, SRK and Gauri Khan have found support from the industry. Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna has also now weighed in on the arrest and compared it with Netflix’s popular Korean series, Squid Game.
Taking to Instagram, Twinkle shared a post under the title, ‘Let the desi Squid Games begin’. She cited the marbles game showcased in one of the episodes and shared her views on Aryan’s arrest. Apart from that, the actress also pointed out the social issues India has been facing for quite some time now.
Twinkle wrote, “Each player is given ten marbles and must get their opponent’s marbles by competing in any game of their choosing. In this episode, one of the strongest candidates is badgered and ultimately bamboozled into losing his marbles.”
Twinkle revealed that she misplaced her marble when SRK’s son was arrested. “I seem to have misplaced mine as well when I read the news about Shah Rukh Khan’s son’s arrest,” she wrote.
“While his friend was apparently carrying 6 gm of charas, there is reportedly no evidence of possession by Aryan Khan. Yet, the young boy has been languishing in Arthur Road jail for almost two weeks now,” she added.
Twinkle did not stop there. She went on to slam a popular Indian news anchor and said, “I suppose I feel like emulating one of Arnab’s dramatic proclamations where he once said, ‘Mujhe drug do, mujhe drugs do,’ because I need some heavy-duty psychotropic substances to make sense of this development.”
Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s life took a sharp turn after son Aryan’s arrest and they are reportedly spending sleepless nights. The two have been taking constant follow-ups in the case and have been constantly checking on Aryan’s health too.
Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, Salman Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Johnny Lever, and more have since taken to social media to show their support amid this crisis.
