Twinkle Khanna, who is an avid social media user, has penned a lengthy heartfelt note, grieving the loss of her grandmother. She recalled how she felt after the death of her beloved grandmother, who had a huge role in bringing her up. The author and former actress bared her heart out in her latest post and mentioned that when her grandma died, “sorrow felt like the needle of a sewing machine.” Twinkle also spoke about her friends losing their son.
Taking to Instagram, Mrs Funnybones shared a note that reads, “Death sometimes knocks at the door, till it is opened, and at other times, it slips in unannounced. When my grandmother, who had a large hand in raising me, passed away, sorrow felt like the needle of a sewing machine. Piercing through and lifting rhythmically. Forgotten for a few moments, it would slam down again. The salty Mumbai air suddenly heavy in my lungs, as if it were liquid going down the wrong pipe. Yet, there was a comfort in knowing she had lived a full life.”
Further, talking about her friends losing their sons, Twinkle Khanna said that the loss of a child hits a person harder than someone who had lived a full life. Her post was captioned as, “Loss does not bend to our will. Like the love that precedes it, it arrives unannounced. To love itself is to accept the inevitability of separation. One way or another. And yet we are always unprepared.”
