Twinkle Khanna reveals Akshay Kumar used her lines in Good Newwz
Kareena Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna recently sat down together for a candid conversation. It was a part of Twinkle Khanna's founded initiative, Tweak India. They discussed a lot of topics including family and fitness. Taking to Instagram, Twinkle shared a short clip from the interview. In the video, Bebo and Twinkle are talking about the film Good Newwz. The movie starred Kareena, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.
During the interaction, Twinkle told Kareena, "When I saw Good Newwz, I was reeling because you have pulled off being me." Bebo replied, "Exactly, but not many people know that it was you."
She added, "Half of these lines I have said in real life. There's my wedding photograph, where they have just chopped off my head and put yours. One day I actually told him this line that you know women have to do all the work and what do you guys do. What's your contribution to making a child. You just make a face and that's it. Bebo replied, "When he told me that, I was in shock because it was not there in the script and I had come prepared with the monologue. And he was like nahi nahi, abhi ye line add kiya hai and I was like I am prepared for this monologue, I have been learning it for like three weeks."
"And he was like no, no, this line is fab, I think we should say it because Tina has also said it. I was like ok. And also, like what is this context in Tina has been saying this. So, what you guys have been fighting or discussing," she added.
Good Newwz was released in 2019. It was directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
