Urvashi Rautela is constantly making the headlines post her social media banter with Indian Cricket player Rishabh Pant. Netizens often troll her for her link-up with the cricket player. Recently, she slammed the trolls and compared herself with Mahsa Amini. She even chopped off her hair in support of the protest going on in Iran and also for the death of Ankita Bhandari in India.
In the photo, which she shared on Instagram, she could be seen in sitting a blue outfit to get her hair chopped. While sharing the photos on Instagram she wrote a long note which mentioned that this is in support of Mahsa Amini, who died in the arrest by morality police in Iran. The ‘Saman Re’ actress even mentions that this is in support of Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old girl who was murdered in Uttrakhand, India.

Great Grand Masti actress further wrote, “CHOPPED MY HAIR OFF ! Around the world women are uniting in protest against the Iranian government by cutting their hair. Respect Women A Global Symbol For Women’s Revolution. Hair is seen as a symbol of the beauty of women. By chopping off her hair in public, women are showing that they don’t care about society’s beauty standards and won’t let anything or anyone decide how they dress up, behave or live. Once women come together and consider one women’s issue as an issue of the entire womankind, feminism will see a new vigour.”
Soon this post grabbed eyeballs and netizens ruthlessly trolled her. One comment read, “India ki women k liye hi kuch kar le pehle iran ka khud ka masla hai wo” and another comment read, “You didn't stand up for the girl who wants to wear the hijab..?” One user commented, “But never spoke about hijab issue in india🙄 well done miss atitude” and another user read, “Andhi patel parlour me hair cut Kara k ayi h or gyan pel rahi h. Kitna natak karegi or”. One troll wrote, “RP be like- lagta hai mere upar jaddu tona keregi” and another troll wrote, “Khudke ghar ka haal dekho aunty pahle.Fir iraan jana.”
For the unversed, a 22-year-old girl Mahsa Amini was arrested in Tehran, Iran by morality police in Iran for not covering her hair properly with a hijab. She died in the arrest, which instigated the anti-hijab protest. On the other hand, a 19-year-old girl Ankita Bhandari, a receptionist at a resort in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, was allegedly killed by an ex-BJP leader’s son Pulkit Arya.
