Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt To Do Sanjay Dutt-Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Tamma Tamma'

‘Tu Premi, Main Premi, Phir Kya Daddy, Kya Amma?’- Who can forget Sanju baba and Madhuri dancing like no one’s watching in this number? A song which created hysteria decades ago, a song which was an anthem for the youngsters back then, ‘Tamma Tamma’ still attracts people on the floor when the DJ plays it.
In this generation, the cult will be recreated by the supremely talented duo- Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in their forthcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun and Alia have already shot major portions of the film in Mumbai, Jhansi, Kota and Singapore. As far as this song is concerned, they will be shooting for it this week.

Tamma Tamma from Raj N Sippy’s Thanedaar in 1990, was originally sung by Bappi Lahri and Anuradha Paudwal. Shashank Khaitan has retained the original voices but added Badshah’s rap too in the new version. The track has been composed by Tanishk Baagchi. Like the original, even this version will be a peppy number, keeping the feel of the song intact.
Interestingly, Tamma Tamma has already been recreated and filmed in Vidhyut Jamwal’s Commando 2. Their version has Vidhyut Jamwal, Esha Gupta, Adah Sharma shaking a leg. Reportedly, the makers of Commando 2 wanted to recreate AR Rahman’s ‘Hamma Hamma’ from Bombay (1995), but didn’t get the rights of the song. Hence, they recreated ‘Tamma Tamma’.
Madhuri and Sanjay's Tamma Tamma is incomparable, but will Varun and Alia’s version be better than that of Vidhyut and Esha’s? Well, we can only tell when we see both the songs. However, I think we all know the answer to that!
