Varun Dhawan Assures To Help Female Fan Facing Alleged Domestic Abuse By Her Father: ‘This Is An Extremely Serious Matter’
Actor Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming rom-com ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor. The actor is currently busy promoting the same and will appear in the finale episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. Varun is also known to interact with fans on social media. Recently, his one female fan reached out to him on Twitter seeking help from her abusive father. The user narrated to Varun how her father beats and abuses her every day.

A Twitter user tagged the actor and Gujarat Police, writing, “Respected Sir, I have been beaten and abused by my father several times. He abuses me and my mother every single day. He, for days, doesn't let me eat food, also threatens us by using curse words and abusive language.” She added, “I have lost my hopes for getting the help when needed from the police, this is not right. The women's helpline is also unable to provide us help. Replying to her, the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor wrote, “This is an extremely serious matter and if this is true I will help you and speak to the authorities.” Notably, Varun’s sweet reply and caring attitude towards her fan are winning hearts on the internet. The 35-year-old actor often hosts an impromptu ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on his Instagram where he gets candid about his personal life.  

On the work front, Varun was last seen in the 2020 film Coolie No. 1 with Sara Ali Khan. He is making comeback after one-year hiatus with Raj Mehta’s family drama ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ which is slated to release on 24 June 2022. He also has a forthcoming flick 'Bawaal' with Janhvi Kapoor in the lineup.
