Varun Dhawan Gets A Massive Pay-Check For Street Dancer 3D Even After Kalank Tanked At The Box Office

Varun Dhawan is all geared up for his upcoming film Street Dancer 3D co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and several other ace dancers and choreographers from the industry. The actor has been constantly sharing pictures and videos from the sets of the film and has kept us well updated and in the loop regarding his upcoming film. According to a recent report, the actor has been paid a whopping amount of Rs. 33 Crore for his upcoming film Street Dancer 3D due to his popularity on TV.
Varun Dhawan was last seen in the Abhishek Varman film Kalank, which Varun recently admitted was a flop. The film failed at the Box-Office despite the larger than life sets and plot. While Varun has had only hit films to his credit, Kalank was his first flop. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Varun has been paid a whopping amount despite his recent flop as according to the makers the actor’s films work tremendously well on Indian television and the makers are well profiting out of it. “Varun is clearly going to be one of the highest-paid actors from the younger generation. He is being paid to the tune of Rs 33 crore for Street Dancer 3D. The call was taken keeping his satellite reach in mind. His films usually work tremendously well on TV and the makers are also reaping huge benefits of the same,” said the source.
The source further added by talking about how the channels are ready to pay the actor a huge sum of money because he is a safe bet on the small screen, the source quoted, “They plan to sell the satellite rights to a leading channel for an unbelievable price and the channel is okay with it because Varun promises great viewership on the small screen too.” The source continued to mention some details on the payments made to the actor saying, “The actor has got a signing amount of Rs 10-11 crore and the remaining remuneration will be given to him from the money the producers make from the satellite and digital rights.”
The team of Street Dancer 3D recently wrapped up the schedule of the film and Varun Dhawan took to his social media to share pictures. Street Dancer 3D is directed by Remo D’Souza and stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva in lead roles. The film is a coming-of-age dance film and is a sequel to the 2015 film ABCD 2. Street Dancer 3D is scheduled to release on January 24, 2020.
