Varun Dhawan gets mercilessly trolled for winning the best actor of the decade award at the ITA awards 2022!
Actor Varun Dhawan is at the receiving end for winning the best actor award in the star-studded ITA Awards 2022. At the award ceremony, he was honoured with the 'best actor of the decade' award despite not delivering any commercial hits in recent times. Though the actor was not present at the ceremony to collect his award, he shared a post thanking fans. And his post did not go down well with netizens who started trolling Varun for accepting the award.
Taking to his Instagram story, the Student Of The Year actor shared a post informing fans about getting the award. And, in no time his post went viral with netizens taking nasty digs at the actor. One reddit user wrote, “At this moment, I think they are putting themselves up for trolling to stay relevant, at least negatively. Positively ka scope toh dur dur tak nhi hai.” Another said, “Hey bhagwan utha le mujhe sab dekh liye aaj, I want an award for existing too.” One of the comments read, “Sharam nhi ayi tujhe post karte hue, bol Varun?." For the unversed, the 35-year-old actor made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s teen drama Student of the Year in 2012. He is best known for his acting chops in films like Mai Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badlapur, and Judwaa 2 but he is yet to deliver a path-breaking performance. His recent release ‘Bhediya’ saw him in a never before seen avatar as he played wolf for the first time in the horror-comedy. The Amar Kaushik’s directorial was Varun’s second release of this year after ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo.’
