Varun Dhawan Gets INJURED While Shooting For Atlee’s VD18; Shares An Update With His Fans, Say, ‘No Idea How I Hurt My Leg’
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is all set to collaborate with Jawan filmmaker Atlee for an action-packed film temporarily titled VD18. Known for his dedication towards his roles and characters, he started shooting for the project last month. However there has been a minor setback. The actor was injured during the shoot of his movie and took to this official social media handle to share an update with his concerned fans.

In the video he posted on his Instagram stories on Wednesday evening, the actor can be seen sitting in his bathroom on a countertop. Dressed in a blue shirt and shorts, he shows that he is soaking his injured foot in an ice bath, an effective measure to reduce pain, in his sink. He can be heard saying that he has “no idea how he hurt his leg” and proceeds to show how he is taking care of the injury. As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, fans were left concerned about Varun’s health. This is not the first time he was injured during the shoot of VD18. He also has an elbow injury, where he had shared a photo with the caption, “No pain, no gain, VD18.” Netizens have been flooding social media with get well soon messages. Talking about VD18, the movie is produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie also features Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. The film is reportedly scheduled to release in May 2024.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-criticised Bawaal, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. It was released on July 21 on Amazon Prime Video. He has Citadel, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Bhediya 2, a sequel to his 2022 horror comedy in his pipeline.
