He is also sharing his thoughts and views on various trending topics. Recently, #HandsoffParotta trended on social media as the Authority of Advance Rulings (Karnataka bench) sort off discriminated between roti and parottas. On ready-to-eat rotis, there will be only 5 % GST while on Parottas 8%. Varun finds this piece of news ridiculous.
The actor took to his Instagram stories to share the screenshot of the news and wrote "WTF" on it. He even wished that this bit of news wasn't real. He wrote, "Someone tell me this idiocy wasn't for real!" Well, sorry to disappoint Varun but this bit of news is actually really. The authority has ruled out the GST slab and leveled higher percentage on Parottas as it requires pre-heating before consumption.
Yesterday, on Twitter #HandsOfParotta trended on one of the top spots with people laughing hard over this discrimination done between rotis and parottas. Many shared memes using Bollywood dialogues expressing the feelings of parottas that has now become a luxury item.
