Varun Dhawan’s Family Invited To His To-Be-Bride Natasha Dalal’s House For 'Chunni Ceremony' On January 21?
News of actor Varun Dhawan tying the knot to girlfriend Natasha Dalal, is making the rounds of the internet. The couple is reported to tie the knot in Alibaug from January 22-24, 2021, the families of groom and bride are set to be heading to the destination on January 22, 2021. The ceremony will be attended by 200 guests. Now as per reports in Pinkvilla, the family is said to have a chunni ceremony on January 21, 2021. Known as Chunni chadana ceremony, it will have Varun’s family going to Natasha’s place for it.

The source of the said publication giving out the deets, also shared information about the chunni ceremony, “The members of the groom’s family will visit the bride’s household with jewellery, gifts, sweets and a red-coloured outfit like a saree or lehenga-choli, along with a red chunri. The red chunri is placed over the head of the bride by her to-be mother-in-law. This ceremony is called chunni chadana which will happen in Mumbai within the families.” It also reported that the chunni ceremony is close to an official engagement ceremony. Filmmaker Karan Johar is said to be choreographing Varun and Natasha’s sangeet ceremony.  

The couple dated for more than a decade and has been childhood sweethearts, while there were also rumours about the duo tying the knot in 2020, it was said the wedding got delayed with the outbreak of COVID-19.



Varun on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s radio chat show spilling the beans about his wedding, was quoted saying, “Everyone is talking about this (his marriage) for the last two years. There is nothing concrete right now. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, but if things settle down, then maybe this year. I mean… I am planning for it definitely soon. Varun’s wedding will see his industry colleagues, Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor, Malaika Arora and more.
