Vikram Gokhale’s wife Vrushali reveals her actor husband has slipped into a coma but he is still alive
The news of veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passing away is doing the rounds on social media. However, Vikram’s wife Vrushali has dismissed reports of his death and revealed he slipped into a coma yesterday but he is still alive. In a recent interview, she stated that the senior actor is currently on a ventilator. Vikram has been admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune over the past few days. His wife revealed he suffered from multi-organ failure.
Speaking with Etimes TV, Vrushali stated that Gokhale has not responded to touch since he went into a coma so doctors will examine his condition today. She was quoted saying, “He slipped into coma yesterday afternoon and post that, he has not responded to touch. He is on ventilator. Doctors will decide tomorrow morning what to do, depending on whether he's improving, sinking or still not responding. He improved a bit but slipped again. He has had a host of issues, like in heart and kidney. At the moment, he has had a multi-organ failure.”
Vikram’s wife further revealed that her husband’s age is 77, not 82 as reported in the media. “My daughter from San Fransico has arrived. The other one has been right here in Pune, she lives in Mumbai,” Vrushali added. Even Doctors at Deenanth Mangeshkar Hospital rubbished Vikram Gokhale’s death rumours and said they are untrue. . Vikram's daughter also revealed that her father is still critical and on life support and has not passed yet. She asked everyone to keep praying for him.
Vikram Gokhale is a popular name in the Entertainment industry. He has appeared in many Hindi and Marathi movies. He has also been part of several popular TV shows. In 2010, he won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in the Marathi film Anumati. Gokhale was last seen in Shilpa Shetty starrer comedy ‘Nikamma’ which was released in June this year.
