Vicky Kaushal Hides Behind The Curtain At Shah Rukh Khan’s House; Reveals The ‘Embarrassing’ Moment
Vicky Kaushal opens up about his most embarrassing moment at Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali Bash. The actor confessed that he was hiding behind the curtain and hoped no one saw him!
Nobody can beat Shah Rukh Khan when it comes to throwing lavish parties! Every year we get to see stars having a blast at the superstar's house, Mannat. Vicky Kaushal who is currently the talk of the town for his stellar performance in his last release Uri, was once invited by SRK to his house for a Diwali bash and he revealed his fashion faux pax at the party.
Vicky revealed that at the party, he, Rajkummar Rao and Taapsee Pannu got the dress code wrong which led to some hilarious consequences. The Uri actor said on a chat show, “So Shah Rukh sir called me and said, ‘It was my birthday a few days ago. It’s just a chill dinner, so come with your friends.’ It was my first time at Mannat and I was so happy that it was a chill get-together for his birthday. So I go in my denims and T-shirt and shirt over it, just casual,” he said.
However, he saw B-Townies dressed in their traditional best as they arrived at SRK’s residence. “I enter and see Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, everyone in like heavy Indian,” he said, and then added that he spent the rest of the evening “hanging out in a corner behind the curtain”.
“Me, Taapsee, Rajkummar Rao...three-four of us were prepared for a birthday casual scene till we realised that we were so off. We were hanging out in one corner behind the curtain. Like, bar ke peeche wale curtain ke peeche wale wall ke peeche. We were like, koi dekh na le humein. I was so embarrassed because I was the first of that lot to enter,” he said.
Vicky caught the attention of Bollywood’s reigning fashion critic, Karan Johar. “Karan meets me and he’s like, ‘Hi, you.’ Then he just looks at me and says, ‘We need to talk,’” Vicky said.
