Vidhu And I Have Not Split, Says Hirani

Rumours were rife that director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who had partnered on some of the biggest hits in Bollywood, have split.
It was said that the Munna Bhai director will produce his next - the Sanjay Dutt biopic - independent of Vidhu.
This news obviously left us heartbroken. After all, the two have just given us the Rs. 600 crore plus PK and before that, 3 Idiots and Munna Bhai films.
But why did the two allegedly split?
Buzz was Ranbir Kapoor, who is set to star in the biopic, demanded a share from the profits making him a producer of sorts. Raju was fine with the arrangement but apparently, producer Vidhu was not.
However, a common friend of the two denied the news of the fallout. He told us, "There is no reason to disagree on the Sanjay Dutt biopic. Raju and Sanjay are close but Sanjay and Vidhu are equally close. It was Vidhu who cast Sanjay in the 'Munna Bhai' movies. Even after Aamir was cast in PK, Vidhu ensured Sanjay had a role."

Next, we even asked him if he and Vidhu are collaborating on the biopic in the same capacity as their previous outings. He confirmed with a simple 'Yes'.
Phew! That's a relief. Nobody wants to see such a beautiful partnership break.
