There is never a moment when Vidya Balan doesn't surprise us. The actress who has been shooting for Shekhar Sartandel's Ek Albela in which she plays Geeta Bali, has taken time off from her busy schedule to visit weavers in a small village on the outskirts of Hyderabad and weave her own sari.
Balan has been wearing saris that are handwoven for a while now. Designer Gaurang Shah escorted her to the village where she spent the day not just observing and interacting with the weavers, but also learning some techniques from them.
She spent five hours at the weavers' studio, and tried her hand at weaving. She even lunched at one of the weaver's homes.
