In a recent interview, Nani addressed the incident, acknowledging the controversy that emerged when pictures from Rashmika and Vijay's Maldives trip were showcased during the event. The pre-release event of Hi Nanna in Vishakhapatnam unexpectedly turned controversial as Rashmika and Vijay found themselves inadvertently embroiled in an unrelated situation. This unforeseen incident left the fans of both stars in a state of shock and surprise. During a conversation with M9, Nani was asked about the public display of photographs featuring the two actors. Nani responded, expressing regret, stating, "It's unfortunate that this occurred. The picture was taken down even before I realized what was happening. We all share a close friendship. Vijay and Rashmika are aware of these occurrences. Nevertheless, if anyone was genuinely affected by it, our team and I offer our sincere apologies." Nani clarified that neither the film's team nor the event host Suma had prior knowledge about the use of Rashmika and Vijay's pictures during the event. He emphasized that whoever might have been responsible is likely feeling apprehensive now. "This is a movie event, not a platform for sensationalism or gossip," added the Eega star. At the Hi Nanna pre-release event, a large screen showcased several images from Vijay and Rashmika's Maldives trip, leading to discomfort during the event. Presenter Suma raised questions about the selection of certain photos, adding to the unease. Meanwhile, Nani is set to star in Hi Nanna alongside Mrunal Thakur and Kiara Khanna. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 7.
