Bollywood actor Viju Khote who appeared in many films breathed his last on Monday, September 30. His demise has sent a shock wave in the industry. Many stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Johny Lever, Suniel Shetty and others took to social media to mourn his death. Viju Khote was popularly known for his role of Kaliya in Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s Sholay. He also played pivotal roles in films like Andaz Apna Apna, Karz, Nagina, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Prem Shakti and many more.

On social media, #RIPVijuKhote is trending with fans and celebrities sharing condolences for the bereaved family. Abhishek Bachchan on his Twitter wrote, “#VijuKhote ji, rest in love! You had so much of it to give. My condolences to his family.” Johny Lever wrote, “Very sad to hear about #VijuKhote ji..He was not just an amazing actor but a very kind soul. We had worked a lot together and he was like an elder brother to me. My prayers & deepest condolences to the family.” Suniel Shetty tweeted, “Will miss you Viju ji... As per reports, the veteran star was suffering from multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and had undergone a bypass surgery too. The actor was in the hospital for quite some time and was discharged just a week ago. He was a diabetic patient and the reason for his death is said to be kidney failure.

May his soul rest in peace. He will forever be known for his generous contribution to the world of cinema.
