Tongues are wagging that late actor Vinod Khanna’s youngest son Sakshi Khanna (from his second wife Kavita) has now taken the spiritual path. Apparently, just like his late father, he too has become a follower of Osho International. “A few months ago, Sakshi got himself enrolled to Osho,” says a source.
For those who've come in late, the late Vinod Khanna quit films in 80s, left his family and headed on the road to spirituality to become a follower of Osho.
During his years away, Vinod Khanna hardly visited India. After a long exile, he returned to Bollywood and his first release post his spiritual break was Insaaf (1987). While none could understand the reason why Vinod Khanna quit the Osho Ashram to return where he belonged, but several reports stated that he realized that he had lost hold on his family and career in his pursuit of spirituality. After coming back, he married Kavita; his first wife Gitanjali had broken away from him.
We reached out to Sakshi on calls and text messages and waited for 3-4 days for his response, but the young man chose to not revert.
Sakshi was supposed to enter Bollywood at least 4 years ago with a Milan Luthria film, but for reasons unknown, that film did not happen.
