January 11, 2021, was the most happening day for the couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli as they were blessed with a baby girl. Virat made an announcement on his Instagram account and congratulatory messages came in order. Stars like Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Hardik Pandya, Sachin Tendulkar, Neha Dhupia, Madhuri Dixit, Shikhar Dhawan and many more have sent their warm wishes for the new parents. Well, right after the announcement. Virushka fans were so overwhelmed that they started suggesting names for the baby girl. Names like Anuvira, Anvita, Anuvi were suggested by fans.
There was one who even suggested Virushka which is already their celebrity couple name, they even went on to trend on social media with this name while some asked the couple to keep their daughter’s name as Sydney, to honour the Indian cricket team's incredible performance against Australia in the city of Sydney. Amidst all this, reportedly, the couple has zeroed down on a name and that is ‘Anvi’ which is derived from the two’s name. However, a final confirmation is still awaited from the actor and the Indian skipper. For now, we already overjoyed to hear this beautiful name.
In the past, many have celebs have named their kids, derived from their own names. Actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput named their daughter Misha while filmmaker Karan Johar named his kids after his parents – Yash and Roohi Johar.
Virat Kohli took to his Instagram and announced that they are blessed with a baby girl by posting a note which read, “We are thrilled to share with you that we've been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat (sic)."
