It’s been 6 months since Wajid Khan left for his heavenly abode. Wajid Khan died on June 1 and 5 months after his death, his wife Kamalrukh made some serious allegations against her in-laws. On November 27, Kamalrukh took to social media and penned a long note-making shocking revelation against Wajid Khan’s family and revealed that they made several tactics to compel her to convert to Islam. She also revealed that Waijd had even threatened her with divorce.

Now Kamalrukh has opened up about the controversy in her latest detailed interview with Ujjawal Trivedi. The star's wife revealed that she and Wajid were in a 10-year relationship before they decided to take their relationship to the next level. Kamalrukh further revealed that initially, it was Wajid’s family who was pressuring her to convert to Islam, and later the late music director too threatened her with divorce in 2014. Wajid's wife also spilled the beans on them living separately.

Speaking in the interview, she stated that Wajid and Kamalrukh were living separately for the past 6 years. She stated, “In 2014, Wajid had filed a divorce case, which didn’t happen. I am still not divorced. However, Wajid had been apologetic in the past few years and he used to regret what all happened and apologies to me.” 

In her post, he wrote, “My resistance to convert to Islam drastically widened the divide between me and my husband, making it toxic enough to destroy our relationship as husband and wife, and his ability to be a present father to our kids.
