Welcome Actor Snehal Daabbi Reveals Firoz Nadiadwala Still Hasn’t Paid Him For The Movie That Released 14 Years Ago
Snehal Daabbi, who played Anil Kapoor’s onscreen friend in the 2007 movie Welcome, still hasn't been paid
Actor Snehal Daabbi, who was seen in the 2007 comedy-drama Welcome starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles, recently claimed producer Firoz Nadiadwala still has not paid him. Snehal played onscreen buddy of actor Anil Kapoor in the movie. The actor, in conversation with Bollywood Hungama, revealed the producer kept on assuring him to pay his dues, but it never happened. He further shared that he wouldn’t sign any film offered to him by Firoz Nadiadwala in the future -- even if he offers him Rs 10 crore.
He said, “I haven’t yet been paid. Firoz bhai would just assure ‘Deta hoon paisa, deta hoon paisa, deta hoon paisa (I will give you the money)’. Hence, I was disillusioned here and was wondering ‘Yeh kaisi industry hai (What industry is this?)’.” He added, “Firoz Nadiadwala mujhe ₹10 crore denge fir bhi unki film nahi karunga. (I won't do Firoz Nadiadwala's film even if he offers me ₹10 crore for a film.”
Snehal added that the producer often commited but failed to keep his promise. “Firoz bhai commit karte hai, fir ghoom jaate hai He commits and then does not keep his promise),” Snehal added.
Snehal said he has also worked in a film called Sher, featuring Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi. The movie got scrapped after shooting almost 85 per cent of it and the actor was not paid for it as well. Back in 2016, as per a report in Firstpost, Anees Bazmee too claimed Firoz Nadiadwala not clearing his dues for Welcome.
