Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actress Taapsee Pannu are currently busy promoting their upcoming film ‘Dobaaraa’. In a recent interview, Anurag was at his witty best as he cracked hilarious jokes about his own body while sharing views on Ranveer Singh’s nude photo-shoot. Not just that Kashyap also dragged in Taapsee in his fun banter and left her shocked after he said she ‘has a complex from him because he has bigger boobs than her.’
Speaking with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the filmmaker was asked about his views on Ranveer going nude for the international magazine. Anurag mentioned that “he has a big paunch, which will come in his way if he ever decided to ‘break the internet with a such bold photoshoot. Interestingly both the host and Anurag felt like Taapsee was feeling ‘insecure’ with the director doing such a photo-shoot. The Manmarziyaan director joked, “Ye (Taapsee) waise hi darti hai (She is insecure). She has a complex by me because I have bigger boobs than her." Earlier, in an interview with Etimes, Anurag Kashyap had said that the Simmba actor ‘did cause destruction’ with his nude photos. He added that Ranveer did not just break the internet but also broke his self-confidence. “Tabahi to machai usne, Not only he broke the internet he broke my self-confidence. How will I find it back? Hindustan mein har mard isi baat se pareshaan hoke Ranveer Singh pe attack kar raha hai,” he was quoted saying.
Meanwhile, ‘Dobaaraa’, a time travel thriller was recently shown at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2022. The project marks Anurag and Taapsee’s second collaboration together after 'Manmarziyaan' which was released in 2018. ‘Dobaaraa,’ which also stars Pavail Gulati and Saswata Chatterjee, will hit the theatres this Friday, 19th August.
