Jiah Khan was widely known for her brief role in Aamir Khan’s super hit film ‘Ghajini’ where she played the role of a girl who helped Aamir’s character in seeking revenge. During the promotion of the film, it was reported Jiah was Aamir’s step-sister as her mother Rabiya Amin was reportedly in a relationship with Aamir’s father Tahir Hussain. Speculations were rife the reason why Khan gave the actress a chance to work in his movie was that Jiah was his step-sister.
However, Tahir in an interview had dismissed this rumour and called it baseless. He said, “As far as I know, Rabiya is married to a man from Pakistan. Rabiya is a very close friend of mine, but I was never married to her and Jiah is not my daughter.” Even the late actress had refuted this rumours and revealed that she never knew who her father was, and she had never asked her mother about him. Jiah Khan had stated, “This is completely untrue and utter rubbish. To be frank I don’t know much about my father and I have never asked my mother about him. For the unversed, Jiah Khan, who entered Bollywood with Ram Gopal Verma’s film ‘Nishabd,’ passed away in 2013 at the age of 25. She was found dead in her Mumbai apartment and her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was abetted in Khan's suicide case. Meanwhile, in the latest update in Jiah’s murder case, the Bombay High Court in September dismissed Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia's plea seeking reinvestigation by an independent agency.
