Bollywood actors Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan share a great friendly bond. The duo never shied away from extending their support to the other in their time of need. Over the years, they have often been spotted watching Indian Premier League (IPL) matches when their team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) plays. As the IPL fever is taking over the nation, videos of SRK celebrating KKR’s third win of the season are doing rounds on social media. As the team is basking in their victory against Delhi Challengers, Chawla recently revealed why she doesn’t like watching the matches with her Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani co-star.
In an interveiw with the news agency IANS, while talking about how exciting it is to watch IPL matches revealed that she doesn’t like watching them with SRK, who co-owns KKR with her. Talking about it, she explained that he often tends to vent out his anger, about the team not performing well on the field, on her. However, she stated that a lot of the team owners go through similar feelings. Quoted by Bollywood Life, the 56-year-old actress said, “It is not good to watch a match with him because when our team is not performing well, he vents out his anger at me. I tell him to tell that to the team and not me. So we are not the best people to watch the match with. I think the same goes for a lot of owners. The actors truly do share a close bond and are one of the closest friends in the industry. In an earlier interview, she had opened up about how, when Aryan Khan was taken under custody during the drug case, she had signed a Rs 1 lakh bond in 2021 after the Bombay High Court spelled out the bail conditions. Talking about the same, she said, “We didn’t know it was coming. But when all came down to that moment when I could help, I thought it was the right thing for me to do – to be there for him.” While they constantly keep in touch with each other, they rarely get a chance to meet, however, her husband Jay Mehta is constantly in touch with SRK.
