Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is till date one of the most-sought after actresses in the Hindi entertainment industry. She has been in the industry for a long time and has impressed everyone with her beauty, grace and versatile performances. While she has seen a lot of ups and downs in her career, there was once a time where she was asked to remove her blouse and shoot in a bra in Tinnu Anand directorial Shanakht (1989), which despite a few portions being shot was never released.
According to a report by Zoom TV, the actress was all set to star in a movie alongside Amitabh Bachchan, when she was making a name for herself with movies like Tezaab and Ram Lakhan. Director Tinnu Anand had gone on to share an incident that occurred during the first day of the shoot. Talking about the scene, the actress had to wear a bra on camera as she attempts to intervene while Bachchan was bound by chains. While she had earlier given her consent to do that scene, during the shoot of the show, she expressed her discomfort and refused to do the shot.
As per the entertainment publication, he had communicated that she needed to unfasten her blouse on camera and appear in a bra as Big B’s character is restrained. The filmmaker had even given her the freedom to design her blouse for the scene as long as it was relevant to the narrative. On the day of the shoot, not only did the actress delay the shoot, but she also didn’t begin prepping for the scene. The issue was resolved after the veteran actor intervened and suggested that they stop pressuring Dixit further.
On the work front, Madhuri was last in Amazon Prime Video’s Maja Ma in 2022. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the movie also starred Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Gajraj Rao and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles.
