Mira Rajput Kapoor reveals she wants to ban the terms star wife and star kids
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput Kapoor rose to fame after the duo tied the knot in July 2015. The couple, who is oh-so-in-love with each other, often takes to their social media to share hilarious and lovey-dovey posts with each other. In a recent interaction, she shared that the terms 'star wife' and 'star kids' irks her.
During the interview, the 28-year-old social media influencer and YouTuber questioned why no one is ever called a star husband. Talking about how she wants those terms dropped as everyone has their own identity now-a-days, Mira says no one takes star-kids seriously these days due to the nepotistic connotations. Talking about the same with host Janice Sequeira, during the first episode of Social Media Star With Janice Season 5, Mira said, “We ought to get over it now. Maybe it was an association that one needed to make for recall value. But even if you put that on a kid, and you say star kid, people don’t like listening to ‘star kid’ for all of its nepotistic connotations and all of that. But that term is still in use, like it needs to kind of find its way out and likewise, I have never understood the concept of a star wife, what does that mean?”
She further added that being a star-wife means having a partner who is an actor or a celebrity.
