Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao are one of the most adored Bollywood couples. Having been together for years before tying the knot, they always paint the town red with their mushy posts and lovey-dovey declarations. Having spent years loving each other, the actress recently opened up about an experience from their initial phase of dating. While talking at an event she recalled how she had gone on a trip after breaking up with her then-boyfriend, now-husband.
Speaking at the Next on Netflix event, held on Thursday, she revealed that her friend had suggested that she should go on a trip to Goa after her breakup. As reported by the Free Press Journal, the event was hosted at the Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. She was on stage for her upcoming movie ‘Wild Wild Punjab,’ co-starring Varun Sharma, Jasie Gill, Sunny Singh, Ishita Raj, and Manjot️️ Singh. The film follows the journey of Sharma’s character going on a road trip to get over his breakup.
Talking about the incident that happened during the initial stages of dating Rajkummar, she told host Zakir Khan that she was very sad about the breakup with her hubby and wanted to leave Mumbai. It was then that her friend suggested she go to Goa to clear her mind. The 34-year-old actress added, “One of my friends insisted that I go on a trip to Goa and everything would be fine after that. I went to Goa and cleared my mind. However, once I came back to Bombay, I eventually got back with Raj. My friend saw Raj and me on television and was very angry.”
For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa tied the knot in November 2021 in Chandigarh in the presence of their close friends and family. The actress will also be seen in IC-814 alongside Vijay Varma. IC-814 and Wild Wild Punjab will be streaming exclusively on Netflix. The makers of the projects are yet to announce the release date.
