WHAT! Ranveer Singh’s Bollywood Career In DANGER? Renowned Production House Decides NOT To Sign Him After Giving Back-To-Back FLOPS?- Report
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is one of the most versatile actors from his generation. From playing dark shade characters effectively to leaving the audience in splits with his comic timings, he has always experimented with the roles he plays on the big-screen. However, it seems like ever since the pandemic, he is facing the lowest phase of his career as his last three big-budget movies have badly tanked at the box-office.

If reports by Bollywood Hungama are to be believed, the under-performance of 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus has left Yash Raj Films’ sceptical of signing any more movies with him. While there is no official statement by the production house, it is being said that Aditya Chopra and his core team are currently busy trying to build their spy universe, and want to avoid making any mistakes. Each movie they are producing needs “utmost concentration, right from pre-production to the last mile release.” ALSO READ: Karan Johar Roasts Ranveer Singh's Bollywood Career In An Old Video; Netizens Brutally Troll Him, Say, ‘Always So Keen On Knowing Who’s In Who’s Pants’

The entertainment publication further quoted their source stating that all the movies that the 37-year-old has done with YRF have flopped at the box-office. The source said, “a film with Ranveer Singh is the last thing on their mind. Of course, they’ll be making non-Spy Universe films too. But of the 6 films that Ranveer has done with YRF, there’s only one film that was not a flop. And that’s Gunday (2014). This film, too, was a semi-hit. Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011) and Befikre (2016) were average grossers. Kill Dil (2014) and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, meanwhile, flopped.”

The source added that even though the six movies made money due to the sale of OTT and satellite rights, the box office returns by the movies were in the red for YRF. ALSO READ: OMG! On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. He is currently busy shooting for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Alia Bhatt. The movie will also see Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
