Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s first collaboration Dunki was loved and adrewd by fans. Despite receiving mixed reactions from the viewers, the movie was celebrated by everyone as it is still running in theaters. Being SRK’s third successful project of 2023, which did good business at the box office, netizens are eagerly waiting for the star to announce his next movies. Well, amidst all the excitement, it is now being reported that Dunki might be India’s submission for the upcoming Oscars.

Yes, you read that right! According to a report by Bollywood Life, the movie might be sent to the Academy Awards aka the Oscars. As per the entertainment portal, that quoted a report by the Box Office Worldwide, it is still unclear whether the comedy movie will be sent in as India’s official nominations for the Oscars or as a nomination for a specific category. Talking about working alongside Shah Rukh in Dunki, Vicky Kaushal, who has a cameo role in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, had heaped praises on the senior actor. Speaking about it on Koffee With Karan season 8, he had said, “I met him and I realized how little I am doing at this age. He just gives his 100% in everything. He is just something else.” He went on to add that the older actor knows everyone’s dialogues. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles, Rajkumar Hirani directorial is currently being celebrated by the audiences. The director has beautifully narrated the horrors behind the tale of illegal immigration, also known as ‘Donkey Flight’. The story centers around a group’s will to go to a foreign country in hopes of a better future.
