Shah Rukh Khan has apparently refused to promote his comeback movie Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the big screen after four years with Siddharth Anand’s directorial Pathaan. The movie has made a lot of noise ever since its announcement. While fans are excited to watch the spy action-thriller on the big-screen, the song Besharam Rang has been on the receiving end of hate from the right-winged parties.
There have been constant reports stating that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers to make certain changes and to adhere to religious sentiments. Adding on to their plate, Delhi High Court has now asked them to make certain additions to their movie. In the midst of it all, netizens have been wondering when the team will start promoting the film. Well, it seems like Shah Rukh, who has refrained from engaging in media interaction and interviews for the past few years has also turned down the offers to promote the movie of any reality shows. As reported by Bollywood Life, the superstar isn’t comfortable with the promotional activities, owing to the controversies that have taken place in life. His co-stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham too have agreed with him and are steering clear of the questions regarding Pathaan during media interactions. According to a source by ETimes, SRK would like to reach his audience directly rather than promoting it on Bigg Boss 16, hosted by Salman Khan and The Kapil Sharma Show. ALSO READ: WHAT! The source added, “The film has got its momentum and this time SRK who has been avoiding media attraction is going ahead with the film release without any conventional media promotion. Despite the leading actors of the highly-anticipated film avoiding media interaction and interviews the film is already considered a blockbuster. The film is predicted to make a business of 30-35 crores on the opening day. As the film nears its release date the excitement is increasing day by day.”
For the unversed, Pathaan marks the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan, on the big screen after five years. With the movie, YRF is all set to introduce the audience to its spy universe which consists of Salman Khan’s Tiger, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. The movie will see Deepika and Shah Rukh’s character teaming up to defeat John Abraham’s villainous character.
