Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most humble actors in Bollywood. He never shies away from sharing stories and experiences from his personal life. In one such incident, the actor opened up about a painful and humiliating experience he had to go through.
In a column written by the actor for a daily newspaper, he opened up about a horrifying experience he had to go through. In the first edition of his column in DNA, he shared that a doctor had put needles in his private parts for a neck treatment. He wrote that people around him had warned him about the dangers of needle therapy. From being paralysed to being left voiceless, they had listed down everything that could go wrong with the treatment, but SRK paid no mind. He wrote, "Everybody began to foretell doom. They listed all that could go wrong. They said I could be paralysed or rendered voiceless. To me, it was just intriguing that there was such a wonderful variety of cures and treatments on offer for a serious injury like mine."
Reliving the horrible experience, he shared that the doctor didn’t want to put needles in his neck, but somewhere else. SRK recalled that doctor kept chanting ‘take off your clothes’ until he was completely naked, lying on the table with the specialist looming over him with ‘big big pins’. "The thought of him sticking needles in my neck was scary. But I need not have worried. He didn’t want to put needles in my neck, instead, he wanted to stick them in my private parts to fix my neck! As you can imagine it was an extremely hurtful prospect. I was shaken to the core of my being. He kept repeating, ‘Take off your clothes, take off your clothes’. So, I took off my shirt, but it didn’t seem to suffice," the Pathaan actor described. He further added that it was one of the most humiliating and painful experiences of his life.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be making a comeback on the big screen with Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan. The teaser was released on the superstar’s birthday, and the fans are excited to watch him in the action extravaganza. He will also be seen in Jawan and Dunki.
